Good afternoon from ski country.
Since I've asked on several occasions who reads my Diaryland page and got no response, this is to be my last Diaryland entry. I will continue to visit my friends' Diaryland blogs, though.
I haven't heard the whole story about why Devin took down both of his MySpace pages. He won't tell me anything. He had something like 245 friends on his other page.
I started a new Yahoo flying group today because one of the flying groups to which I belong is being spammed. The owner is nowhere to be found. I would contact Yahoo, the spammer would be deleted, and then another spammer waiting in the wings would take over. I hate spam!
Speaking of spam, I got a phone call today from my Alumni Association looking for money. The call, in itself, was interesting, but maybe I'll go into that another time, but part of it was his saying, "So why did you go to college for six years ONLY to become a teacher?"
This caller engaged me in conversation about issues facing the school, alumni and the country in general. We obviously did not agree on certain liberal policies and practices, and what I would do if I were in a position of authority. I said to this man, who received his Master's degree the same day I received mine, "Then you're satisfied with the status quo?"
I could not believe his interrogatory reply. "What does that mean?"
I had to explain. So much for No Child Left Behind!
It's about as cold down here as normal winter is in New Jersey. I am not liking the winter of 2006 / 2007 one tiny bit.
And for a brief moment in time I'm sitting here with absolutely nothing to do, all alone for a couple of hours. I love it. I decided to make this a day for ME. Aren't I the selfish son of a bitch? Yes, I am. And the comment you're expecting: I think I might just get naked!
